Sixth grade BMS families gathered at Twin Dragons restaurant to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year. Students made lanterns, ate traditional foods and participated in Hong bao to learn about the Chinese culture. #TCSYes










Students at BMS gathered to compete in the Scripps Spelling Bee, a national contest. Each class held a previous spelling bee and the class representative moved onto the school spelling bee. Congratulations to BMS's Scripps Spelling Bee winner, Bryce, who will compete at the regional competition in March!

A Magical Winter Concert!
Just before the holiday break, our band students took the stage at the Porter Center on December 17th, showcasing their incredible talent and growth this year. Bravo to all our performers for an unforgettable evening of music to end 2024 on a high note! 👏🎶

Congratulations to BHS band director, Andrew Jimeson, for his feature in the SBO edition of the 50 Music Teachers that Make a Difference! Come and see Mr. Jimeson and the Brevard Middle and High School Bands as they present their annual Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 17th beginning at 6:30 PM at the Porter Center on the Campus of Brevard College. Admission is $5 for adults. This is the first year we will receive donations for our newly established "Dr. Palmer Band Scholarship." Donations can be given in person at the concert or made to the Brevard Band Association by mailing a gift to Brevard High School ATTN: Brevard Band Association. Checks would need to be made out to the Brevard Band Association. #TCSTogether



Transylvania County Schools will be on a 2hour delay for Tuesday, December 3, 2024, due to snowfall this morning.



TCS Students at BMS had a Native American Symbol Project in Ms. Egan's Multimedia Arts class. Students researched a Native American symbol and created a Canva presentation. They used nonfiction books, resources from the North Carolina Museum of History, attended an online zoom and live feeds relating to North Carolina Native tribes, and participated in collaborative groups. #TCSYes





Global Education Week continues with students learning about other places/cultures through ART! Rosman middle schoolers made Asian Mandalas and Brevard middle schoolers made Venetian face masks. #TCSYes
