Brevard Middle School recently hosted an exciting Cross-Curricular Night, a dynamic, student-led family event sponsored by GEAR UP. The evening brought together students, families, and educators to celebrate learning across multiple subjects, showcasing how academic disciplines connect in real-world contexts.
Throughout the evening, families moved through interactive stations and exhibits designed and presented by students, highlighting projects that integrated science, math, language arts, history, and the arts, with each display emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and academic growth.
The event also featured a family dinner, generously sponsored by GEAR UP, which provided a welcoming space for students and their families to connect with teachers, discuss educational goals, and enjoy a meal together. The dinner helped strengthen the home-school partnership and fostered a deeper sense of community.
By the end of the night, families left inspired by the impressive work of our students and the strong support systems in place to help them succeed—thanks in part to the ongoing support of GEAR UP, whose mission to empower college and career readiness was evident throughout the event.
