Wrapping up Arts in Schools month; we are so grateful for the partnership that we have with Brevard Philharmonic. They provide Music in the Schools, which enables various programs for our students at many intervals during their academic journey. Last week, they worked to bring an outstanding performance, Sounds of America: The Jan and Doug Hart Eighth Grade Concert. The performance incorporated music, led by artistic director James c. Fellenbaum and paintings by Asheville artist Kira Bursky, at Brevard College Porter Center for TCS eighth graders. #TCSTogether #TCSYes

Transylvania County School campuses are currently not in evacuation zones; therefore, they will remain open. We are in communication with Transylvania County Emergency Services and will continue to work with them to monitor the situation. As our county has been placed in a code purple, we have suspended all outdoor activities for students and will continue to make adjustments as needed. We understand that many of you have been impacted by these wildfires and we are here for you; please reach out to your child’s school for additional support.
